Alex Duong was a proud husband and father.
The actor and comedian — who made a few appearances as a recurring guest character on CBS' Blue Bloods — married his wife, Christina Duong, in August 2018. The couple became parents in February 2021 when they welcomed their daughter, Everest.
On March 28, his friend Hilarie Steele shared on GoFundMe that Alex died at 42 years old that morning "surrounded by love and dear friends" following a yearlong journey with cancer.
"Christina and Everest were able to see him last night, and he was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born," Steele wrote on the GoFundMe.

Christina works as a registered dental hygienist, per her Instagram bio.
According to her Instagram, she has lived in both the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Los Angeles.
Outside of her own work, Christina also supported Alex's comedy career.
"She inspires me to work harder and be better at everything," Alex wrote on Instagram in June 2015.
Nearly two years later, he shared a selfie of them on Instagram, writing, "Behind every man is a woman willing to listen to his B material."

Alex and Christina tied the knot on Aug. 4, 2018, per the actor's Instagram.
In August 2022, Alex marked their anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, "It's really been four-years since she said yes. Thank you for always making me better than I was yesterday."
He added, "You're an amazing wife, incredible mother, and a good human being. Happy anniversary @xtinahuong ❤️."
They welcomed their daughter, Everest, in February 2021

Alex and Christina became parents when they welcomed their daughter, Everest Minh Duong, in February 2021, as he announced on Instagram.
"I'm officially Team #GirlDad!" he wrote in the post.
In Alex's Instagram recap of 2021, he shared a photo of Everest and wrote that he had "brought this gem into the world" with his wife.
"It definitely changes everything," the comedian wrote of becoming a dad. "I started to value myself and others above the bs."

The actor shared many glimpses of fatherhood on his social media, and often expressed his pride in raising his daughter.
"My first #Nationaldaughtersday," he wrote in September 2021, alongside photos of both Everest and their dog. "Proud to be a Girl Dad x2."
"They're def my good luck charms for this life. Thank you @xtinahuong for being a super mom," Alex continued.
